The patent pending smart-search technology was developed to more accurately pin-point the location of surveying stakes, pins, markers, and other ferrous objects near chain link fences or other ferrous objects that cause interference. When ferrous objects are oriented vertically to the Earth's surface, a magnetization is induced into the object by the Earth's magnetic field creating +/- polarity.
